A New Math Program Taught by World-Class Problem Solvers

The Husky Math Academy (HMA) is a program based at the University of Washington that offers rigorous and challenging math classes for students in grades 7-9 who want to deepen their understanding of mathematics through problem solving.

Our program aims to help students develop a strong foundation and well-balanced education in mathematics beyond the standard school curriculum. This will prepare them for advanced mathematical work in high school, college, and future careers. Our classes cover topics in algebra, geometry, number theory, combinatorics, and mathematical proof.

Our instructors are UW faculty, industry professionals, and coaches with extensive background in mathematical problem solving and education.

We meet on Thursdays from 5-8pm at the UW Seattle Campus. Students are expected to complete weekly homework assignments. For more details, see our schedule.

HMA is fully funded by donations to the UW Math Circle fund. This allows us to offer all HMA activities for free to admitted students. We hope that families of our students will consider making regular donations. Donate here!
